Experienced team with deep resources

Frank Hansen, Senior Portfolio Manager, leads the highly experienced European Small Caps team of four, which is based in both London and Frankfurt and has a total of more than 50 years investment experience. 


The team is directly supported by 37 research analysts based in Europe, and makes full use of Grassroots(SM) Research to add additional conviction to investment decisions when selecting stocks.

 

In-depth stock analysis

The investment process is driven entirely by bottom-up stock-picking and attaches great importance to meeting company management regularly, with the team meeting the management of more than 900 small and medium capitalised companies directly each year around Europe (excluding Turkey and Russia). 


Great importance is also attached to diversification within the portfolio, with a well-established risk-management process embedded within the overall investment process.

 

The team's long term track record

The team has generated a long track record of long-term outperformance for more than 10 years and enjoys a strong position within the peer group within Europe.

The Fund holds a gold Morningstar OBSR Analyst Rating(TM), as at October 2011.

Frank Hansen was awarded one gold medal from "Sauren Fonds-Research AG" for very good portfolio manage-ment within the sector Equity Europe Small Caps incl. UK in 2011.
